Tax Time: Free Tax Help!
If you are looking for some free tax help in the Orlando area? For local help and advice on filling out your tax return this year, check out the AARP TAX-AIDE Site Schedule that is listed below for Orange County and Seminole County. You can meet with volunteers who will offer advice and even prepare some of the routine tax forms for you. You do not have to be an AARP member or a senior citizen to take advantage of this service.
Tax-Aide volunteers trained and certified by the IRS will provide free income tax assistance at many sites throughout the Orange and Seminole County area starting in February 2013.
Individuals seeking assistance should bring pertinent tax documents such as a copy of last year's income tax return; forms showing income earned, pensions and Social Security; 1099 Forms showing interest and dividends; current tax information package mailed to them by the IRS; Photo ID and Social Security cards for all those listed on their return. Electronic filing is available at all sites at no charge.

When you arrive in Orlando, anything around the attractions costs money. There are some free attractions that your family can enjoy. I will list some of my favorites.
Free Orlando Museums:
1. The Zora Neale Hurston National Museum of Fine Arts takes visitors on a stroll through history starting with the author’s humble beginnings and displays creative works of other artists of African descent. Donations are accepted.
2. The Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida presents an overview of the history of the Holocaust and serves as a memorial to victims. The center also hosts many educational events, films and seminars. Donations are accepted.
3. The Winter Park Historical Museum houses a photo timeline of the history of Winter Park and features changing themed exhibits.
4.CityArts Factory is an eclectic collection of art galleries in downtown Orlando showcasing local and international artists. Free admission Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Grand Bohemian Gallery in Orlando has two locations in downtown Orlando and Celebration. Both feature a variety of art, including jewelry, glass and sculpture.
